What is all that dark bit?

As most of the astronomy interested and astrophysics inspired alike have heard, the Universe is expanding at a faster and faster rate. In concordance cosmology this is blamed on dark energy. But the so-called dark sector in the energy budget of the Universe is even richer than and entails yet another component: dark matter. Just as dark energy is the name put on our lack of understanding of the Universe’s late acceleration, dark matter is the name given to another mystical observation: The Universe seems to contain more matter than that which we can see.

In one of the papers listed in the previous project, we initiate a study that could be seen as a guess for a dark matter model. In it, and subsequent papers, we find solutions to Einsteins equations (with a 3-form / 1-form matter field).

Have a look:

Why this study? As already mentioned in the previous project, the matter content of the Universe matters (what a pun) a lot in understanding the symmetry properties of the spatial parts of cosmos. That is why also we engage in the study of these exotic, dark components.
